Ariadne:(Gr.myth.) daughter of Minos. king ofCrete,who fell in love with Theseus,the hero of Ath-ens,and helped to find and kill the monster Mino-taur. Then Theseus carried away Ariadne but forsookher at the island of Naxos（希臘神話）阿利阿德妮，克里特王彌諾斯之女，愛(ài)上雅典英雄忒修斯并幫助他殺死半人半牛怪彌諾陶。忒修斯將阿利阿德妮帶走，但又在納克索斯島把她拋棄。
