Ash Wednesday:i.e. the first day of Lent,so calledfrom the practice in the Roman Catholic Church ofmarking the foreheads of penitents with ash on thatday圣灰節(jié)，即四旬齋的第一天，是日羅馬天主教會(huì)向懺悔者額上撒灰，故有此名。
