1 . gay-coloured,speciously beautiful,superficially beautiful 色彩艷麗的，外表艷麗的，表面漂亮的。
△Lr.5.3.83(82):“Edmund,I arrest thee,/ On capital treason,and in thy attaint (i.e. as accessary to yourtreason),/ This gilded serpent.”愛德蒙，我逮捕你，你犯了叛國大罪，作為同謀和你一同被檢舉逮捕的，還有這條金鱗的毒蛇（指高納里爾）。
2. i.e.bribing 鍍金的，（指）行賄的。
△Ham.3.3.58:“Offence’s gilded hand may shove by justice，”i. e. awealthy offender may bribe the judge and thus pushjustice aside.罪惡有鍍金的手（指行賄），能夠推開正義裁判。3. tinged with a golden colour 帶有金黃色的。
