室怒市色shì nù shì sèbe angry with the members of one’s family and vent one’s anger upon others in the street
? 令尹子瑕言蹶由于楚子曰： “彼何罪？諺所謂： ‘室于怒，市于色’者，楚之謂矣。”(《左傳·昭十九年》)Zixia,the chief minister,spoke to the viscount of Chu about Jueyou,saying，“What offence is he chargeable with?The words of the common saying might be applied to Chu，—‘He is angry with the members of his family,and he shows his anger in the market-place. ’” |
