2. waiting,waiting on one等候，晉謁某人。dance attendance:?(lit.)stand “kicking one’s heels”in a waiting-room,i.e. wait with assiduous attention,wait on one without being admitted（本義）在候見室中“腳跟碰腳跟”地站著，殷勤小心地等候（接見），晉謁某人而尚未獲準(zhǔn)。
