1. the day of the last judgement according to theChristian faith.the end of the world（基督教所信的）最后審判日，世界末日。
△Ham.2.2. 247 (238): “Then isdoomsday near.” (Because honesty is incompatiblewith the world’s nature and hence must be destructiveof it.) 那么世界末日快到了。
2. the day of the last judgement,when “the moonshall not give her light” 世界末日（據(jù)說(shuō)其時(shí)月亮無(wú)光）。
△Ham.1.1.120:“Was sick almost to doomsday witheclipse.” i.e.almost to the point of complete dark-ness. （月亮）由于侵蝕而病容滿面，昏暗得好像到了世界末日。
3. the day of last judgement,when the world was sup-posedly to be consumed by fire世界末日（據(jù)說(shuō)屆時(shí)世界將為大火燒掉）。

4. i.e. death sentence末日，（指）死刑判決。
