1. not seen openly,secret暗中的，秘密的。
△H.V.2.4.105: “and on your head / Turning the widow’ tears,the orphans’ cries,/ The dead men’s blood,the privymaidens’ groans，” i.e. the maidens’ secret laments. 而那些寡婦的眼淚，孤兒的哭叫，死人的鮮血，少女暗中的悲啼，都要落到你的頭上。(按： privy一詞又作pining，“憔悴的”。)
