surfeitn. 1. excessive indulgence,dissipated living過度放縱,放蕩生活。 △R.III.1.3.197(196):“Though not by war,bysurfeit die your King. / As ours by murder. to makehim a king!” 讓你們的國王不死于戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng),而死于放蕩生活,就像我們的國王死于謀殺,為了讓他做國王! 2. diseased effect caused by self-indulgence,unhappyoutcome,evil result(由于放縱而引起的)病態(tài)結(jié)果,不幸后果,不良后果 。 △Lr.1.2.133(119): “often the surfeitsof our own behaviour”. 往往是我們自己的行為造成的不良后果。
