它們是中美關(guān)系發(fā)展的指導(dǎo)性文件。They constitute the documents guiding the development of China-US relations.
?《中美聯(lián)合公報》（上海公報） the “Joint Communiqué” between the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America (also referred as the “Shanghai Communiqué”)(1972年2月，美國總統(tǒng)尼克松應(yīng)周恩來總理的邀請訪華，中美交往的大門重新打開。尼訪華期間，中美雙方于1972年2月28日在上海發(fā)表此公報)
?《中美建交聯(lián)合公報》“Joint Communiquéon the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the United States of America and the People’s Republic of China”
1979年1月1日，雙方正式建立大使級外交關(guān)系，美國宣布斷絕同臺灣的所謂 “外交關(guān)系”，并于年內(nèi)撤走駐臺美軍，終止美臺《共同防御條約》(即“斷交、廢約、撤軍”)On January 1,1979,China and the US formally established diplomatic relations at ambassadorial level.The US announced the severance of its so-called diplomatic ties with Taiwan,the withdrawal of its troops from Taiwan and the ceasing of the US-Taiwan Joint Defense Treaty within the year (also referred as “sever diplomatic ties,abrogate the Treaty and withdraw troops”)
?中美“八一七公報”“the China-US August17 Communiqué”(1982)
美方承諾“它不尋求執(zhí)行一項長期向臺灣出售武器的政策，它向臺灣出售的武器在性能和數(shù)量上將不超過建交以來近幾年的供應(yīng)水平，它準備逐步減少它對臺灣的武器出售，并經(jīng)過一段時間導(dǎo)致最后的解決”。The US side undertook in the Communiqué that “it does not seek to carry out a long-term policy of arms sales to Taiwan,that its arms sales to Taiwan will not exceed,either in qualitative or in quantitative terms,the level of those supplied in recent years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and China,and that it intends gradually to reduce its sales of arms to Taiwan,over a period of time,to a final resolution.”
