絕妙好辭jué miào hǎo cíexcellent,wonderful verses;a poetic masterpiece
? 魏武 （曹操） 嘗過曹娥碑下， 楊修從。 碑背上見題， 作“黃絹幼婦， 外孫??臼”八字?！拊唬?“黃絹，色絲也，於字為 ‘絕’； 幼婦，少女也， 于字為 ‘妙’； 外孫， 女子也， 于字為 ‘好’； ??臼、受辛也，于字為 ‘辭’。所謂 ‘～’ 也”。(劉義慶《世說新語·捷悟》) Cao Cao once passed beneath the memorial stele to the maid Cao E while Yang Xiu was ac companying him. On the back of the stele they saw an inscription in eight characters: “Huang-juan you fu wai-sun chi-jiu”，literally，“Yellow pongee,youthful wife,maternal grandson,ground in a mortar.”…Xiu wrote，“‘Yellow pongee’ is coloured silk (se-si),which,combined in one character,is jue，‘utterly’.‘Youthful wife’ is young woman (shao nu),which,combined in one character,is miao，‘wonderful’. ‘Maternal grandson’ is a daughter’s son (nu-zi),which,combined in one character,is hao，‘lovely. ’ ‘Ground in a mortar’ is to suffer hardship (shou-xin) which,combind in one char acter,is ci，‘words’. The whole thing thus means；‘Utterly wonderful,lovely words’”/這真是一篇～。我反復(fù)吟誦，不忍釋手。This is really a poetic masterpiece. I have read and recited it over and over again and can hardly bear to put it down. |
