(1)雖然，盡管(in spite of the fact that;even if)：A～it was cold，he didn't light the fire.雖然天冷，他卻沒生火。I kept silent～(或though)I was angry.盡管生氣，我保持沉默。He performed the task well，～(更常用though)slowly.他完成任務(wù)不錯(cuò)，盡管完成得很慢。
(2)然而，但是(and yet;nevertheless;but)(不如though常見)：No one is infallible，～(更常用though)there are some people who think they are.誰也難免犯錯(cuò)誤，但有些人認(rèn)為他們不會犯錯(cuò)誤。I did not know that then，～I(xiàn) learned it later.我當(dāng)時(shí)不知道那事，但后來聽說了。
【注意】在帶(al)though的復(fù)合句中，主句里不能用but。
【辨異】although和though兩個(gè)連詞意義區(qū)別不大，只是 although語氣較強(qiáng)，所引導(dǎo)的從句多置于主句句首;though較之口語色彩較重，當(dāng)“然而”、“但是”講時(shí)比although常見(見(2) )。though還可用作副詞，與even，as構(gòu)成even though，as though，以及用于部分倒裝結(jié)構(gòu)，這些although均不可。
