carve for oneself:i.e.help oneself at will. indulgeone’s own wishes,follow one’s desires為自己切肉，任意取食，滿足自己的心愿，按照自己的愿望行事。
△Ham.1.3.19: “He may not,as unvalued persons do,/ Carve forhimself，”i.e. He cannot pick and choose for himself,as ordinary people do. 他不能像普通人那樣自由選擇。
2.cut雕刻。

△3H.VI.2.5.24: “ l ocarve out dials quaintly，”巧妙地雕刻出日規(guī)。
3. strike with the sword以刀劍攻擊，揮刀。
