1. one employed in mean tasks苦工。
△Rom.2.5.77(75):“I am the drudge,and toil in your delight:”i.e.work hard for your happiness. 我當(dāng)苦工，為你的快樂而不辭辛苦。
2. hack,mean fellow干苦活的雇工，卑賤的人。
△2H.VI4.2.163(151):“And will you credit this base drudge’swords,/ That speaks he knows not what?”這個卑賤奴才自己都不知道自己說些什么，你們能相信他的話嗎？
3. slave奴隸。
△2H.VI.4.1.104: “O that I were agod,to shoot forth thunder / Upon these paltry,serv-ile,abject drudges!”啊，但愿我是天神，放出雷電劈死這些卑鄙下賤的奴才！
