Mercury:(Gr.myth.) the mes-senger of gods. who had wingson his heels,the patron of mer-chants and thieves,and was saidto be the god of liars (希臘神話)墨丘利,神使,足下有翅膀,商人和盜賊的保護(hù)神,據(jù)說(shuō)還是說(shuō)謊者的神。 △Tw.1.5.104 (97):“Now Mercury endue theewith leasing,”i. e.
