一種良種馬。由1689～1728年間引入英格蘭的阿拉伯馬培育而成。體形為流線型，極敏感，易激怒。善奔跑，速度快，耐力強。用于賽馬，或做種馬，以改良其他品種。通常為栗色、棕色、黑色或灰色。肩高1.52～1.73米。
