篳門(mén)圭竇篳門(mén)圭窬/篳門(mén)蓬戶(hù)bì mén guī dòua humble abode (/rust hut); a poor man’s house; be reduced to hovels
? 今自王叔之相也，政以賄成，而刑放于寵，官之師旅，不勝其富，吾能無(wú)～乎？(《左傳·襄十年》) Now since Wang Shu became chief minister,the government has been carried on by means of bribes,and punish ments have been in the hands of his favourites. His officers have become enormously rich,and it is not to be wondered at if we are reduced to such hovels.
