門戶開放政策
“Open-Door”policy (1899年9月6日，美國國務卿海約翰John Milton Hay向英、德、法、意、日、俄6國致送照會，要求在中國維持“門戶開放”政策。當時，美國在列強分割中國“勢力范圍”的角逐中是后來者，受到排擠，提出這個政策是為了“利益均沾”—a policy which the US put forward and foisted on Chin a in 1899 and 1900 to secure the same privileges as the other imperialist powers,including UK,Germany,France,Italy,Japan and Russia
