(2)那個(些)人(that person or those people)(fml)(作關系詞)：She was a girl～it was difficult to know well. 她是個難以完全了解的女孩。He is the man for～I have immense respect/to～you referred. 他是我非常尊敬的人/你提到的人。She was engaged to a lawyer，～she met on the trip. 她與一位律師訂了婚，她是在旅途中結識這位律師的。She had thirteen children，eight of～lived to grow up. 她有13個孩子，其中8個長大成人。We don't know～to invite/to believe. 我們不知道要邀請誰/相信誰。They exchanged views on the question of～to elect. 他們就選舉誰的問題交換了看法。 【用法】whom 是一個非常正規(guī)的字，在日常語言中很少使用。who在日常語言中常常用作賓語，尤用于疑問句中，如：Who did you meet?(你遇見了誰?)Who did you speak to?(你跟誰說話了?)然而在介詞后面必須使用whom，如：To whom did you speak it ?(你對誰講了這件事?)這種用法極為正規(guī)，尤見于書面語中。在限定性定語從句中，whom往往省去不用，或用who或that代替，如：The friend(whom/who/that) I hadn't seen for ages came to see me yesterday.(我很久沒有見的那位朋友昨天來看我了。)而在非限定性關系從句中，不可省略，多用 whom(或who)，也不可用that代替，如：The friend，whom/who I hadn't seen for ages，came to see me yesterday.(那位朋友昨天來看我了，我們已很久沒有見面。) |
