Midas:(Gr. myth.) i. e. king of Phrygia,who desiredto turn everything he touched to gold. The requestwas granted by Bacchus. But in the end even the food he touched became gold. So he implored the god ofwine to take favour back. 邁達(dá)斯，弗里吉亞國(guó)王，渴望點(diǎn)物成金，酒神巴克科斯賜他點(diǎn)金之術(shù)；結(jié)果，連他的食物也變成金子，最后他只有求酒神把這一恩賜收回。
