1. fail to reach the right place,go astray,be carried wrongly,come into wrong hand未能到達(dá)適當(dāng)?shù)胤?，迷路，帶到不該帶的地方，落入他人之手?br/>△H.VIII.3.2.30:“The Cardinal's letters to the Pope miscarried,/ And cameto the eye o' the King.”紅衣主教寫給教皇的信錯投了地方，送到國王的眼前。
2. go wrong,prove unsuccessful,fail,lose the battle出錯，不成功，失敗，打敗仗。
△Rom.5.3.266: “and ifaught in this / Miscarried by my fault.”如果在這場事件中因?yàn)槲业倪^失而在任何方面出了錯。
△Lr.5.1.44:“If youmiscarry. / Your business of the world hath so an end，”如果你失敗了，那么你在這世界上的事業(yè)也就告終。
