蔓草難除màn cǎo nán chúrank grass is difficult to weed out
? 不如早為之所，無使滋蔓，蔓難圖也。蔓草猶不可除，況君之寵弟乎？(《左傳·隱元年》) You had better take the necessary precautions,and not allow the danger to grow so great that it will be difficult to deal with it. Even grass,when it has grown and spread all about,cannot be removed: —how much less the brother as well! |
