2. tear to pieces 把…撕成碎片。
△ R.III.4.4.49:“Thatdog,that had his teeth before his eyes / To worrylambs,and lap their gentle blood；”(Richard was sup-posed to be born with teeth.) 那條狗，生下來還沒有睜開眼就有了牙齒，把羔羊撕成碎片，并且舔吸他們無辜的鮮血。
3. strangle,choke,seize by the throat 扼死，掐住…的脖子。
