1. that which one deserves,desert,that which merits reward,due reward應(yīng)得的報(bào)償，應(yīng)受獎(jiǎng)賞之事，適當(dāng)?shù)莫?jiǎng)賞。
△Lr.3.3.24(23):“This seems a fair deserving，”i.e.I look like deserving a handsome reward for this ac-tion. 這看來(lái)是個(gè)立功受賞的好機(jī)會(huì)。
△Oth.1.3.342(337):“and I confess me knit to thy deserving withcables of perdurable toughness.”而且我承認(rèn)，我已經(jīng)根據(jù)你所應(yīng)得，把我對(duì)你的友情像堅(jiān)韌無(wú)比的纜索，永遠(yuǎn)糾結(jié)在一起了。2. that for which one may claim something,that forwhich one deserves well可以提出某種要求的資格，應(yīng)受某種獎(jiǎng)賞的條件。
