逢兇化吉féng xiōng huà jíchange bad luck into good; ill fortune will turn to good;turn calamities into blessings
? 若是想～，遇難呈祥，找人能逢，謀事能成，賭錢能贏，起個(gè)數(shù)，便知分曉，萬分靈驗(yàn)！(朱素臣《十五貫》48) If you want to change bad luck into good,misfortune into good fortune,finding someone missing,secure a post,or win money in gambling,all you need do is ask me. I’ve never let anyone down./……說是杭州雷峰塔之所以倒掉，是因?yàn)猷l(xiāng)下人迷信，那塔磚放在自己的家中，凡事都必平安，如意，～，于是這個(gè)也挖，那個(gè)也挖，挖之久之，便倒了。(《魯迅選集》Ⅱ—30) …and saying that it had collapsed because the country folk believed that if they took a brick from the pagoda home all would go well with them,and ill fortune would turn to good.
