(2)說服(persuade)[C+n+to-inf](AmE):~sb to go by train/to vote for a person說服某人乘火車/投一個(gè)人的票;~sb that he should leave說服某人走開;

【辨異】convince與persuade和induce都可表示對(duì)某人的思想和行為施加影響。convince指使人相信一真理或陳述,只有接that從句和不定式時(shí)才表示“說服”(某人做某事);persuade(說服,使確信)和induce(誘導(dǎo),促使)現(xiàn)代主要都表示“說服”(某人做某事),如:persuade/induce sb to do it(勸說/促使某人做這事),但persuade 更多指“勸”;而induce僅強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)果(不管是勸說,還是誘惑),因此,其主語可以是人,也可以是某種因素。
