stewed prune:
1.dried plums boiled,i.e. bawd,prostitute. (Stewed prunes were a favourite dish in brothels.)煮干梅子；（轉(zhuǎn)指）鴇母，妓女。

2. stewed prunes: Prunes were thought to be a curefor venereal disease,and a dish of these stood in thewindow of a brothel as a sign. 煮梅子(妓女吃的東西，象征妓院)。
